How to Get the Ace of Spades

Oh shit, so Cayde died and now you want to use his gun? What kind of a dirty sunova bitch are you? Probably the kind that Cayde-6 would have liked. Well lucky for you, you’ve got a shady friend like me to help you through this extremely difficult and tasking task to end all tasks. Look, be prepared to… shoot things, collect things, and get spooked, ’cause this is when the fun begins. First off you’re gonna get the exotic quest well before you can even hope to snag this sexy pistol, but that’s alright.

Step 1: Beat the Forsaken Campaign.

• Bruh, this is obvious. Dude-bro has the Ace of Spades right now, so you can’t get it yet. Luckily for you, you will maybe/maybe-not kill dude-bro. (Bungie cheated and used a dumbass fade-to-black to make it seem like you didn’t kill him… I did though, I did…)

Step 2: Hit up Banshee-44

• Right now that gun is rekt all the way to the planet Thor got stuck on in that one movie. But Banshee and Cayde were buddies in the great Time-War, so he’ll help you out.

Step 3: Handcannon Kills in Gambit

• I hope you liked Dark Souls, ’cause now you got kill scary red invaders in Destiny 2. Just kidding, Bungie patched it so that you can do this step from any Handcannon kills in Gambit, including PVE mobs.

Pro Tip: Are you bawls at Handcannons in PVP? Well, use the Crimson! That gun is just like a Pulse Rifle with 3 round bursts.

Step 4: Hit up Banshee-44 again

• Did you know that Banshee-44 is voice acted by John DiMaggio? KTHXBAI

Step 5: 250 Handcannon Kills in Strikes

• Okay, you can do this the hard way or the easy way. The hard way is to run a bunch of Strikes with bluberries, the easy way is to load into a Nightfall then walk out. Just go around the planet the Nightfall is and shot some aliens. Since technically you’re in a Strike, those will all count.

Step 6: Back to Banshee-44

• John DiMaggio voices Bender from Futurama, but my favorite role of his was Aquaman from Batman: Brave and the Bold.

Step 7: 25 Handcannon Precision Kills in Crucible

• Ooooo-wee, you get to get a little sweaty there buddy. Gotta get 25 Handcannon headshot kills in Crucible. I’ll refer to the pro-tip from above, if you suck at Handcannons and don’t want to take ages, use the Crimson. Stick behind your blueberries or buddies, and pick off the headshots with team fights. You’ll do fiiine.

Step 8: Banshee, Banshee, Bansheeeee…

• Hit up Bender again. I love artificially padding out content, don’t you?

Step 9: Find those chests yo!

• EDZ: In Firebase Hades
• Io: Wraithmines
• 
• Nessus: Exodus Black
• 
• Tangled Shore: South
• 

Step 10: More Banshee

• Well, at least he finished cleaning that gun… AMIRIGHT?

Step 11: SECRET MISSION

• Honestly, I don’t want to troll this mission too much ’cause it was really well done. You’ve got to go and find where Cayde-6 moved all his junk to, and every chest you open is a little voice-message from Cayde. Too many feels buh.

Step 12: PROFIT

• Go to Banshee one last time and BAM, you done.

Celebrate your new loot with a new shirt!

The Ace of Spades is a great weapon, have fun. You get to get Dragon Fly in your primary slot, how dope is that? Now go try to figure out what the hell Memento Mori means, or just shoot things with a dope handcannon.
